The opportunity:

Our Customer Strategy team is new addition to our established Customer Development function and they are responsible for the strategic engagement our grocery Customers.

In this role you will supporting the Head of Customer Strategy to partner on major initiatives incorporating Customer strategy, Unilever macro category, category and brand strategy. As the key Customer contact for strategic initiatives, you will need strong joint category partnerships with the Customer, Brand and CCD teams to embed the Customer strategy in the Unilever operating model.

You will understand how to grow and drive a category through both ranging & shopper insights. This is an end-to-end role, encompassing strategy development through to range review, activations & shelf concepting so you will need to be able to understand “Buyer” motivation.  

This role will require regular inter-state travel.

You are:
As an experienced Category/ Customer Development professional or ambitious “go getter” at assistant level, ready to take the next step, you have broad skills with a deep understanding of Shopper insights. You are independent and like to work autonomously to get the results needed but can easily adapt to the overarching collaborative environment at Unilever. You listen to the Customer and easily build rapport; and are natural story teller backing up your direction with insights.

Key requirements:
Must have worked with a major grocery brand in Australia (and therefore Buyers)
Multi-category experience
FMCG experience
This is more than just activation & shopper focused; we are looking for individuals who can clearly demonstrate their previous strategic plans that have “won” with both Customer & their previous organisation.
