We currently have a position for a Process Technologist to join the Ice Cream team based in Minto. This role sits within a small Research and Development team onsite and you will enjoy being part of a fun and supportive environment.

As the Process Technologist, you will be responsible for process development activities and implementation of innovation and cost improvement for new and existing products. The role will see you involved in pilot plant and factory trials, tests and measurement activities resulting in the effective and efficient delivery of trial results.

You will be an effective communicator that has strong skills in building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships as you work closely with the business for successful project delivery.

Your key responsibilities will include:
Process Engineer for implementing modelling & simulation based insights into factories and pilot plants
Develop deep product & process understanding based on a range of techniques (pilot plant trials, CFD, Process Analytics)
Be a key driving force for building the Processing Teams data, modelling & Simulation capability
Working with complex processing data sets to create insights and design better products and processes
Applying data analysis (e.g. Process Analytics Technology - PAT) and modelling (e.g. Computational Fluid Dynamics - CFD) to provide key processing insights
Collaborating with Research teams and external partners to deliver the programme
To be successful with your application, you will come with relevant qualifications in key science & engineering, such as Process engineering/Chemical engineering/material/Polymer/Mechanical/Physics. You will have previous experience working in a laboratory, pilot plant or factory environment, preferably within Ice cream, foods industry, FMCG or R&D.

You will bring your exceptional communication, project management and relationship building skills. Experience using statistical tools, process control software/hardware is ideal, as well as knowledge of batch & continuous processing.
